Our Physicians
Ki S. Jung, MD
Dr. Jung, the founder of Northlake Neurology, hails from North
Carolina and completed his undergraduate degree in Biology
and Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
(UNC), where he was also a John Motley Morehead Scholar.
After earning his medical degree from the Bowman Gray
School of Medicine at Wake Forest University (WFUBMC), Dr.
Jung went on to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
(UPMC) in Pennsylvania, where he completed his internal
medicine internship and neurology residency. He also served
as Chief Resident during his time at Pittsburgh and completed
a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at UPMC.
Following the completion of his training, Dr. Jung relocated
back to his home state of North Carolina. He has since been
recruited by Presbyterian Novant Medical Group to provide
neurological services for the beautiful Lake Norman,
Huntersville, and surrounding areas. He is also the Medical
Director of Community and Outpatient Neurosciences for
Presbyterian Novant Medical Group.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Jung holds a 6th Degree
Black Belt in Taekwondo, certified by the World Taekwondo
Federation (WTF). He also enjoys a variety of activities,
including golfing, soccer, and swimming.

Joseph N. Chipman, MD
Dr. Chipman has recently joined Dr. Jung at Northlake
Neurology! He too is a native of North Carolina, graduating
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill then going
on to complete his medical degree at Ross University School
of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Chipman went on to
complete a residency in Neurology at Allegheny General
Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, and then completed his fellowship
in Clinical Neurophysiology at Wake Forest University Baptist
Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.
He has since relocated back to his home state of North
Carolina, serving the communities of Lake Norman in
Mooresville and Huntersville as a member of Northlake
Neurology, which is an affiliate of the Presbyterian Novant
Medical Group.
He brings with him a special interest in treating
neuromuscular diseases, performing NCS/EMG, as well as
performing neuro-ultrasound. He is also skilled in Botox for the
treatment of cervical dystonia, spasticity, and refractory
headaches.
In addition to his clinical work, he enjoys tennis, rock climbing,
and biking. He also has a unique interest in collecting
antiques and is a talented stained glass designer.
